Colour-coded duplex sonography has long been standard in phlebology for the topographic topographic-anatomical and functional functional clarification. The prerequisite for stage-appropriate and gentle treatment of varicose veins is precise knowledge of the topography. For the of venous reflux routes, colour-coded colour-coded duplex sonography is the basis.

This method, which can be learnt quickly a customised treatment individualised treatment concept within a few minutes. For endoluminal procedures such as ultrasound-targeted foam sclerotherapy, adhesive, laser, radio wave, etc., a good knowledge of ultrasound is a prerequisite. Only by means of preoperative ultrasound-targeted marking of reflux routes (mapping) minimally invasive vein surgery can be realised.
